SHERMAN GARLAND

Source: Waveland Independent, Waveland, Montgomery County, Indiana July 18, 1924

-Sherman Garland stricken. Tom Garland was called to Beaumont, Texas, Saturday, on account of the critical condition of his brother, Sherman. He suffered a paralytic stroke at his home in South Houston, some time since. He was taken to the hospital there and recovered in a measure, but on being moved to Beaumont, he grew worse. Mr. Garland was sixty-seven years old and has been living by himself. He has been in fair health. A year ago he built himself a house, doing all the work excepting the brick work and wiring. He could probably have done the wiring, too, as he is a radio enthusiast. - transcribed by kbz
